A Lifestyle of Prevention
I have a tremendous amount of respect for the dental profession. They do an excellent job educating their patients on the benefits of prevention. Most everyone knows the importance and value of regularly brushing and flossing your teeth and eating low sugar in order to prevent cavities or other advanced dental diseases. Since my mom was a dental hygienist, I know this concept very well and can proudly say that I have never once had a cavity. I follow their recommendations to be consistent in my brushing and flossing and a low sugar diet and it has produced good results in my life.
Chiropractic Adjustments Provide Preventative Health Care
Did you know that regular chiropractic adjustments can work in a similar way? It’s not just about waiting until something really bad happens to your body before you do something about it. While I am thankful we can help many people like this, it is not the only way. By keeping your spine in alignment and removing nerve interference you allow for your body to function at its best. You have the foundation that you need to do the things you want to do. Those things may be exercise, yard work, better focus at work or improved relationships. As you go through life with a “prevention mindset”, when something happens that kinks you up, your recovery is way faster. I have seen it time and time again. An injury that would cause someone weeks to recover from may take just a few days or even less. The foundation is solid and the severity is minimal because your spine and nervous system are used to being in the right spot not the wrong one.
Getting adjusted regularly keeps you in the right spot and gives you peace of mind. You can go on with your life and do the things you want to do without focusing your attention on your pain. This is what I want for all of you. I celebrate all of you that follow this way of life. For those that haven’t yet, I encourage you to and know it’s never too late. Your body will thank you no matter where your starting point is!
